FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER…

I’ve always enjoyed painting and design. In high school, I worked with Gundaker Real Estate doing house portraits as closing gifts. I would actually sit on the curb across the street from a house and do a quick pen & ink sketch. Those were my first house portraits, more than 40 years ago!

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design. I worked as a graphic designer for 14 years in Boston and then St. Louis where I currently reside. I left the corporate world to spend more time with my two daughters, but always stayed busy in the arts.

I love working in my studio knowing that my paintings capture a moment in time that can bring back wonderful memories for the homeowner. There’s always a little story about each house – how their grandfather built the home, how they raised their kids there, how they used to sled on the hill. I work with many real estate agents that give my work as closing gifts. One agent recently shared that most clients get a little teary when they see their painting for the first time. Leaving a home is such an emotional experience anyway, but to give them something that helps preserve that memory is always so special.
